Jason, the Hondajet is actually a HA420. Explains the number.

That is indeed an attitude recovery system in the rear of the aircraft. Very typical to install on the airframe that's used for stall testing. Ballistically deployed, then severed with pyro cutters.

That's what I was thinking. Why park at an FBO?

Actually, I think they have been missing out on getting much ink about their new plane. They've been working on this thing since at least 1992, and the media is tired of it before the first delivery has even been made. The only way they can get any new pictures published is by telling people "no pictures". Did they also tell you not to disclose their "revolutionary" design that incorporates inverted engine pylons?

I would have loved to seen Jason walk up and ask: "Y'all AOG? Well pile in, I have room for all of you and your tools and I can have you in Greensboro in 45 minutes. Sweet tea is in the refreshment center, lav is in the back, take all the pictures you want."

I don't get it. This thing has been in development as long as the Swearingen SJ-30 and photographed from every angle over the course of 10+ years. What the heck are they trying to guard?

Given the dark shades, perhaps they are embarrassed to be associated with the HJ program and don't want their identities revealed???

Who me? No I never worked on the HondaJet....

Byron Severson is the VP of Sales for HondaJet. Great guy and used to be a Regional Sales Director for Beechcraft. Reach out to him and tell him the story...I'm sure he'll run it up the food chain. Definitely BS.
