Cannot say anything about crew, but IMHO A320 and 737 were indistinguishable for the passengers. All I cared about was lack of legroom. When AIrbus introduced the thin seats, I was okay with it, but my wife really hated them.
Wholeheartedly disagree. The A320 series fuselage is six inches wider than the 737 (which itself was a 707 fuselage). As a result, every seat on a 320 is one inch wider. Might not sound like much but big difference.
As for legroom (pitch in airline-speak), that is 100% controlled by the carrier in question. Typically 31 inches, more if you are in an upgraded coach offering or less if you're on, say Spirit (I think they are 28? not great at all)
The 737 has a very "firm" ride, quite the rigid airframe and an old-fashioned dumb wing. Here the 320 is only slightly better but the rides on the A321neo are noticeably smoother due to a more modern and smarter wing similar in concept to the A350
The A350 wing which will modify the center of lift given the CG and flight conditions. It will also draw the center of lift inboard during turbulence, allowing the outer span to flex more with the bumps and maintain a smoother ride for the cabin. The ride on a 350 is far smoother than that of a 767, largely due to the wing.

With competent and well-trained pilots, I prefer the 737.
As for wide body, it's hardly appropriate to compare an A350 Airbus' latest widebody) to a 767 (near end of career after early 80s EIS).
Now, the 787 is the most comfortable ride in the air now, and the A350 is *almost* comparable.

Best and quietest ride is the A380 up front. There is no comparison. You’ll miss the takeoff unless you’re looking outside.

Now, the 787 is the most comfortable ride in the air now, and the A350 is *almost* comparable. The comparison stems from my original quoted post between an A320 (newer) and a B737 (older), specifically newer Airbus vs older Boeing was the topic. Following onto that. I doubt there's much difference in the ride between an A350 and a B787 for all the (newer) reasons. Having said that. Boeing would have been better off in the early nineties with a clean-sheet new narrowbody to replace the 737. I have plenty of time in them. Great in the 60's,70's, 80's, but dated today. Airbus have the same reliable dispatch rate as the B737 without the downsides of a near 60-year old airframe. Namely.. very firm ride very narrow uncomfortable seat width in the back and for you pilots out there, a notoriously uncomfortable and NOISY cockpit, little better than squeezing into the Gemini space capsule. (It's the same nosecone on the 757 which largely makes it so noisy vice the 767.) and never mind the iron-maiden-like disc-slipping jumpseat. I have more than once switched a deadhead flight home over riding in the back of a B737 vice an A321neo. I guess I upset the 737 loyalists, but facts are facts. There is no comparison between riding on an A321 and any B737.

Boeing designed a new supercritical wing for the 737 NG. It's not the "dumb wing" from the 737 classic. They had to design the new wing to be able to hold more fuel, support more weight and increase efficiency. It's 10 years newer than the A320. The Max is using the same basic wing with improvements like the new winglets. I am interested in knowing what you mean by "smarter wing"? I know that Airbus is working on new composite wing for the A320 series that may use folding wings like the Boeing 777x. This is so they can continue to meet airport category C wingspan limits.
