Mechanics are super busy, hangars are all taken, planes are in high demand and commanding premium prices, airports are buzzing, where is this cut back you speak of? There are a lot more new pilots taking training around here, too. Mike C.

Hey Mike: yes I’m a member of multiple FB pilot groups; scrounged around a bit: couldn’t find the thread. But basically the take was that contract jobs are WAY LESS available right now than usual.

Meanwhile, on CJP, people can't find contract pilots hardly at all and the airlines and frax operators are hiring everyone they can. There's some disconnect here, not sure what it is. I need to see if I can find a contract pilot in my area if there are some sitting around... Mike C.

Whether it’s a boom or not there’s always a “bust” behind a “boom”. Things have a 2007 euphoria “feel”.

That's just nuts! Not saying I don't believe you, but a Latitude isn't that much more $$$ for a lot more capability. And it's made in USA.

I get calls from pilots on a weekly basis looking for work. I would say it’s off by at least 20%.

Actually the Latitude is quite a bit more expensive, like $22M if you order a new one. I'm not sure what they're flipping for, but it would obviously be more than $22M
Having said that, it's more airplane.

I’m trying to figure out if it’s just inflation or GA aircraft actually have more value vs 5 years ago. Prices have definitely gone up and I don't believe we will ever see pre-Covid prices again. Having said that, some of these segmented market prices went higher than they should have based on lack of inventory and trajectory. We are currently seeing some of those markets correct. Two good examples are PC12's and King Air 350's. I don't track pistons, but I expect some of the crazy prices in those markets have come back to reality as well.

Hearing the same, my question is are we seeing the beginning of a slow down or just a typical election year?
