Besides, DJ will be all enthralled with talking airplanes, twins, STOL, blue lines and red lines. You see someone has to keep the ladies entertained while all this is going on in a foreign land. Edit:! I just realized that my avatar looks a lot like ----> I think we need to put together a BT caravan to Mexico.
This would be a good first trip for that Navajo Jesse!
I promise to organize a round of golf at last Ventanas and dinner/drinks at the Rosewood in San Miguel. I probably can get some good Carnitas for Glenn - in fact, we could get some wild boar carnitas which are beyond superb...
I hope the San Miguel airport will be open soon (its taken way too long but I think it will be worth it) - otherwise Q is a good parking spot.

That would be over the top! How long is the flight from say McAllen/Brownsville?   KBRO to MMQT 350NM. Alex, We'll have a new baby around here in a couple weeks so travel is less flexible for a bit. My first Navajo trip to Mexico will be to the clinic in Baja in October. I think a trip like this would make for an epic BT gathering. Maybe half time at the beach and half time in the old country. Vamos hermanos!

I'll check-out the golf course and various "itas" while you are practicing short field take-offs at the 6,700' msl airport in San Miguel. See, it is really all about you.

Quick facts - Queretaro (downtown) is a world heritage site. San Miguel de Allende is 40 miles west and a quick 40 minute drive. If and when the airport opens at SMA, it will be a short flight from MMQT.
If we organize a fly-in (down), I've been talking with Erik Eliel about coming down and holding a radar seminar (RTI) for some gringo pilot friends down here and I could see about scheduling it then so at least the aviation excuse would be fully justified with my wife!
The 340 is right at home in this high terrain by the way. For NA guys, we could plan this for the CAVU season in the fall (summer is storm season). There are some serious mountains but it's beautiful country.
Another quick fact. MMQT to PV is 1.5 hours in the 340. 1 hour to Ixtapa (MMZH). I'm in! Maybe November? I should be in good shape with the 340 by then hopefully
