Very nice and congratulations! You will have the joy of accomplishment when she is complete? A friend of mine built one a few years ago. Very smart guy. Absolutely a stunning design. He did have a nose gear problem that ended his bird in my hangar for a few months. Good luck with your build. Take more photos than you think you should. We want to see them! Bob

Here are more pics from today. We pulled the wings from the jigs and prepped the leading edges. Then put a couple layers of a very small tight weave carbon fiber over the bonding edge. That carbon fiber look is cool. Can it be left unpainted, just a clearcoat? I know the early Cirri were required to be almost all white, over time they're allowing darker colors over more of it, does the same apply to carbon?

RDD has painted a carbon fiber look. It's pretty good.

Gerry, are you building it at RDM? I saw RDD and assumed Redding. Then I saw pictures that looked like Lancairs facility at Redmond. I live about 8 miles from RDM and have followed Lancairs progression for many years.

Actually they are located basically in the airport in Redmond. I finished my end of the build in Lancair and RDD will take the plane to their facility sometime next week I believe. I'll post more photos of my build later, right now I'm going to relax, lol.

Ah, I understand my confusion. I'll follow your progress with particular interest as I look out on Rwy 22 at RDM, as viewed from my living room window.
Best of luck. I hope you move through the remainder of the buildout faster than you expect.
