I wouldn't worry about that. I have the retrofit G500, etc and I was surprised to find that I like it a lot more than the G1000's I used to fly, even without GFC 700. Set it up the way you like, not the way the factory wants you to have it.

Been watching the Meridian market closely for over a year. There are many Avidyne equipped Meridian's listed below $1.2M. In fact, the lowest hour, nicest one is listed at $1.195. And this is asking price. I am sure you can get a 2006 in the $900's so this "is is close to the Mustang in price" doesn't hold water. You're talking about a half million delta if you talk about sell, not ask, price. That being said you can still buy the Avidyne warranty and these planes have a 3600 hour TBO. Operating cost is about the same as my turbo-charged Bo. Insurance and maintenance will be higher of course. Timing the market is impossible but my bet is to wait for the M600 to release which will put downward pressure on G1000 planes which will put downward pressure on all the others.

Call Cyrus at JetAviva today. He's helped me tremendously in understanding costs and he probably has a few in stock he can sell you.
I know several guys that purchased Mustangs for under $1.5MM There are 30 for sale. You gotta work the system and start making offers to get one. You make a very valid point. It's easy to jump at your first idea. http://www.controller.com/listingsdetai ... 219893.htmThis one is very low hours.

This one is very low hours. 221 hours in 6 years... That plane may have been a bit underutilized.

What about an Eclipse?
Faster than the Meridian, about the same space, a jet, and cheaper for some of the planes.
Has the airframe life limit issue been dealt with yet? How have the planes aged and what does maintenance look like on them?
Robert The eclipse doesn't even exist to me after Theodore's experience.

A Mustang at $1.5M is below the cheapest ones on the market by quite a bit. The Mustang market has a tight asking price spread, 8 airplanes for sale from $1.7M to $1.8M. This tells me that people know what they are worth and you aren't moving the price down a lot. Quote: I keep waiting for one of you to prompt an epiphany but you just keep disappointing me. Your aversion to older airplanes is what keeps you slow. 300 knots changes your life. Mike C.
You talkin slow mentally or slow in ktas? One I can solve with $ and one I can not.
