Scenario....you request a top off (500 gallons) positive. On the way to your bird.
You get a call from the first desk CSR “hoping you are having a great day. Sorry to inform you we hit the wrong button and your load was negative prist”. Your mix is now 2/3 diluted.

1) your meeting is critical
2) KDAL -KSAT 47 min trip
3) fixed at fl300
4) clear day
5) they have no cans of Prist and adding Prist like that is not allowed by their sop
6) defueling will take hours due to it being over wing

What do you do?

We do this on purpose. Nothing says it's a no-go and nobody has ever told me why it would be a no-go. I'd have negotiated for more of a discount and more goodies though!

I’ve had this happen a few times and it does not seem to matter.

Flying the JT15D without Prist is asking for trouble. Fuel preheater is insufficient.

Yeah it is and the book says you have to and that’s it.

Reality is the fuel has a good mass and it’s going to take a while for ice to form. Short flights are not an issue.

If you were doing a 3.5 - 4 hours flight at altitude it’s a different answer.

Looks like a 737-800 or 900. He’s probably at M0.82. What was your M number?

As P1D says “No matter what you have there’s always someone out there with something bigger and faster.”
