HPN7...which is runway heading (163)to 800 Msl but only 400agl...then a climbing turn to 2000 and 320 degrees.

That used to be written differently. 800 feet, rt to 320, climb and maintain 3000. Around 1988 I was right seat in a Lr24E with a co worker who read that as, go to 800 feet, turn to 320, THEN climb. In our brief he was going to level at 800' until heading 320. He was adamant that it be flown as written. I said that would put us over downtown White Plains below circling minimums... after much discussion I called the tower for clarification. The wording was later changed to be more concise.

Ya. that wouldn't be good. As wirtten, it is climb to 3,000 but due to KLGA traffic I believe it was a Climb via the SID accept maintain 2,000. It's important to "visualize" what you are about to do. Just like a golfer does on their preshot routine. Especially in a fast climbing bird. After you visualize it go over it again in the departure briefing.

3 Citation BTers break bread.

Love the community that is BT. Clint N reached out to me to ask if I was flying a rocker trip to his home drone this week. Nope, but Jesse J and Matt M are. Group text and boom a dinner it arranged.

My ears have been ringing although I am 2000 miles away.

I am proud to say that I “own” both Jesse and Matt’s Jet Elite cherries. Matt and I flew a rocker trip 4 years ago. He was typed but hadn’t actually flown a Citation. Now he is flying a 73 for the airlines. Jesse evaded flying with me for two years but I finally wore him down. Now he is flying Captain and being a CEO. If I am remembered for nothing else getting these two guys a start in jets is a good legacy.

Glad you guys got a chance to meet Clint and his wife. Good Peeps all.

Jesse is wearing standard rocker trip attire.

A good time it was indeed. Really enjoyed meeting Matt and Jesse. Great guys, just like I knew they’d be. And Mark, yes, I know your ears were burning.

Dave...would you prefer I start a separate thread?

Mark,

Congrats! I'm the wrong Dave but my vote would be for a new thread so that this thread doesn't turn into one of those 50 page threads...

other Dave

TG we didn't end up with 50 pages! :dancing:

Scenario....you request a top off (500 gallons) positive. On the way to your bird.
You get a call from the first desk CSR “hoping you are having a great day. Sorry to inform you we hit the wrong button and your load was negative prist”. Your mix is now 2/3 diluted.

1) your meeting is critical
2) KDAL -KSAT 47 min trip
3) fixed at fl300
4) clear day
5) they have no cans of Prist and adding Prist like that is not allowed by their sop
6) defueling will take hours due to it being over wing

What do you do?
