Very nice plane . But according to the theory of Mike C , SF50 could not fly far to Africa because he did not go on FL400 and has only one engine . :lol:

I could, but not being a US citizen it's a little more involved. I have to get TSA approval for each new rating, but to nominate an individual CFI into the system is more complicated than nominating an already existing school as a training body.

I share your frustration with the AFSP and the added complication it adds for those of us who are legal permanent residents, to what should otherwise be a simple matter of getting some training. Having researched the program very carefully for work, my understanding is, however, that it only applies to initial certificates (Recreational, Sport, Private) and Multi and Instrument add-ons. Unless your Commander has a gross weight higher than 12,500 lbs, there should be no need to go through the AFSP approval for a Commercial certificate.

As I recall it, you need approval for the Commercial as well. But not ATP. Could be wrong.

Aviation is not about managing your 13 tank fuel system while battling a VMC rollover.

Did I miss something? A MasterCraft with a Cirrus decal. Is this a collaboration between them and Cirrus, or a plug for Tennessee, or both?

I think they found some customer overlap so are doing joint marketing.
But I thought the whole marketing angle was interesting, the jet is only a small part of it. All of Cirrus marketing seems at enabling a lifestyle, not about the method of transportation.

It’s quite a bit more than that for me (and I dare say many others on this forum). Getting from point A to point B quickly and safely is a given. It’s also about having fun doing what I call “aimless flying”. I feel at home in the air and it allows me to disconnect temporarily from ground based reality. Whatever is relevant on the ground is irrelevant when I fly. It’s a way of life - for me, much more than mere transportation. I know YMMV.

Not gonna touch the twin v. single debate! To each his own in that arena.
