It'll be a website full of promises only? An RC prototype? Will the RC fly? A full-sized mockup? A flying prototype? Will it kill someone? A rip-roaring success that does what Peter hopes it'll do?
Or. . .my vote. . . .we've heard the last of it all. Whatever happens, hopefully it adds another 250 pages and 6 years of free entertainment...

Because when you put together all the BS claims, believers, non-believers, trolls, build execution hilarity and the so called flight testing it's too unbelievable to have been fiction. Yet here we are and it's been very entertaining! I hope Peter carries on, I can always use a few more chuckles. Phil

Maybe the thread for the next over-promised aircraft will heat up. The builder showed up today to defend his design. https://www.beechtalk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=199402&view=unread#unread

His best bet to make money with the Raptor is to pitch it to the discovery channel as a reality show. The more odd the characters, the better the ratings. Who would have thought 2 idiots building sub par custom motorcycles were worth 12 seasons? And the ratings would have been thru the roof for the maiden flight episode. The them bank roll the “idea”.

I haven’t looked at this thread in awhile
My first thought was that if you want to total an airframe with the best chance of walking away from it, mature corn is a pretty good choice.

Well the real question is will he choose a cornfield again, and if so will he put the gear down.

Building a new aircraft from the ground up is not for the faint of heart or budget. I purchased my airplane from the estate of an aeronautical engineer, Bill Husa that worked on a nice turboprop amphib the Privateer. His work was pretty much complete and the aircraft project was moved to Florida where progressed and flew. It was supposed to be at Sun N Fun in 2019 but had a landing incident during test and needed some gear repair. 2020 was quiet and the website has not been update in over a year, not a good sign. Project was well along and looked to have some promise although composite aircraft are notorious for getting overweight during build, not sure if that was an issue here or not. https://www.privateerindustries.com/
