Really, that probably saved his life. He gets only 1500 ft AGL in an hour? He was going to have fun when he got into the steep stuff.

It looks like he should have taken a Cirrus course. Pull early….. I imagine like the rest of us, he’s scared of what happens in that pusher when you deploy that chute.

I feel bad for this guy. I appreciate the humor here and his quirks and the nature of documenting the developments and failures opened him up to it, but WTF is he gonna do now. I always was so disappointed he never manned up and found the cash and redid the cowling and put a Walter or even a GTSIO on the back. Bullshit Audi crap engine with a hundred bandaids and a rats nest of plumbing. Someone once said along the way, you don't develop a new design and a new engine at the same time.
Disappointed that the crew he had he just let go and all of a sudden they weren't in the videos.
I've spent hundreds of hours watching this show. So many never do %#$@ but he went for it.

I don't know if being a pusher has as much to do with the decision as the weight and altitude he was at. Then again, he did lose the chute cover (for the second time) flying from GA to AR. So maybe he bolted on a steel cover plate so it wouldn't keep coming off.

I've spent hundreds of hours watching this show. So many never do %#$@ but he went for it. If he was some eccentric rich guy blowing through his own fortune building a passion project for himself then I'd agree with you. The fact is however, he made insane promises that could never possibly be delivered upon. He took deposits and escrow funds from lots of folks to build this big POS, and he's still talking like this thing will go into production. I'm happy he hasn't killed himself (yet) but at this point it should be clear to all that he's either an insane fool or a complete shiester. Either way hard for me to have sympathy.

I suppose it’s human nature, you become emotionally invested (or your ego is invested) in something and begin ignoring obvious signs you made a bad choice. I would never do that. At least Peter wasn’t running LOP and burning up his exhaust valves.

Who had bet in the BT pool that it would be august 6th, in a corn field, with a redrive failure?
Seriously glad he’s ok. Just another one of his lives was used up
