I think I was thinking of the newer ones that have Proline 21. But Mark posted a link to a 1991 with a Proline 21, presumably retrofit. I’m guessing the Proline II you referenced is the few I saw that have an electronic pilots ADI and HSI?

Mark Yep, pretty much the same gear as the F-104 Starfighter. And those suckers touched down at 160+ kts.

Although everything is technically possible, it would be extremely expensive because you'll need to re-certify the Autopilot and the Engine Indication System, too. Not so straightforward without OEM Support. PL Fusion development started for Piaggio MPA (Multirole Patrol Aircraft), military derivative, with the intention to deploy the PL Fusion on the civil product too. Unfortunately, the program was stopped early after first A/C prototype flown in 2016 (and subsequent company issues). This picture is the only one Piaggio cockpit equipped with PL Fusion: Piaggio started from barebone King Air PL Fusion and added many features yet missing on other platforms. One for all, an extensive set of synoptics pages depicting graphically the status of every A/C system, all linked to EICAS... a real novelty for an aircraft of this size in 2016. Attachment: Pro Line Fusion for MPA.jpg Pretty nice, isn't it?

The original ships had Proline II radios, EFIS-85, and FCS-65 autopilot. A lot of people refer to these as "Proline II" even though that really just refers to the radios.

Holy crap that’s awesome! Too bad it never came through! The EVO plus that panel would crush the King Air! Guess the quote I got from Banyan for PL21 fusion was a mistaken com.

True no headset plane. Anthony- How does the interior noise level in the back compare to other turboprops. I owned a Marquise and the noise level in the back was so so. Comparable to our c340, my wife says. I know the long body MU2 is quieter in the back than the short body which is what you owned, right? Anyway, would you say Avanti is significantly quieter than any other turboprop you've flown?

Jay,
It is the quietest airplane I have ever been in in 45 years of airline, corporate and private flying. This includes Falcons, CJ's, M2, and waaaaay quieter than any other turboprop. Think sedan Mercedes quiet with a low whine from the engines.
