Since I fly a small plane where it doesn't matter if people move around, what would happen if someone moved after the plane was in flight, which caused a CG issue? Vince

I see that now, the way it slopes going forward made it look like something was missing. I really like these planes. I was with Duncan when we were supposed to be the completion center for NA (this was early '90s), we completed a few of them before the deal fell apart.

I know there was an AD on the MU2 that the little plastic covers for their terminal blocks were missing. Things that slide forward on the glareshield (kneeboard, ipad, etc) can bridge the terminals and short them, obviously a fire hazard. As a "better than nothing" attempt I might just put some good electrical tape across them. Attachment: p180-panel.jpg

Report not exactly accurate, been trying to get FAA amend, they just have not posted update yet. It was reported wrong from the beginning, it took them a few days to even realize something had occurred and a lot has been lost in translation.
In short, icy runway, we believe we had a flat nose wheel on touchdown and the plane pulled left when nose touched. As we slowed the plane skidded left of center enough that mains caught snow on the edge and pulled us into grass.
Damage report not accurate. We got fortunate it was low speed and that the runway to grass transition was smooth. Plane was able to get back in service quickly. If anyone needs wheel inspected, I can’t speak highly enough of Falconcrest. They turned around inspecting wheels and new tires in just a few days.
Good lesson for me, I am cautious on weather and forecasts and even delayed this flight by a few hours to wait for weather to pass. I saw some snow returns move over the airport while we were Enroute on the XM but didn’t realize it was a pretty nasty squall. It had moved on by the time we arrived, approach was fine, but airport had not caught up with clearing things.
Runway reports had been clear all day and were when we departed. On final got a report of packed snow and in hindsight should have gone elsewhere but figured it would be fine due to having plenty of runway with even contaminated calcs.
Ego bruising more than anything but everyone walked away and plane survived so chalk it up to experience. I have had flat tires on a few landings over the years and it was always on dry runways and were non events. This was a bit more exciting.
One interesting note, on the approach, the controller gave us a really tight intercept vector and I said unable and went around. I was very proud of myself in that moment for not trying to ‘make it work’, they vectored me around and I had one of the better approaches I have ever flown. Pax all said it was the smoothest touchdown they can recall too. Flight doesn’t end till you stop though!
Stay safe out there!
