I'll let those of you with a JD parse the specifics, but all cases of fraud are essentially misrepresentation - claiming something has value that the defendant knows it does not. No honest person can claim that airplane will ever be capable of a 285 knot cruise. Read the contract. Folks can opt out.

might not seem intuitive, but we've sometimes struggled with overheating on vehicles in antarctica, due to snow packing.

I've had that a couple times in a road car and I didn't even have to go to the seventh continent. One was with snow packing, the other time was with what could be called severe icing (clear/glaze), driving through SLD before the FAA came up with a term for it. Good times!

This going to be fun!!!! On a side note, has anyone noticed that Peter isn't following any plan? Doesn't he plan on testing the envelope of this thing? Didn't he say he wasn't going to perform any stall tests?

Didn't he say he wasn't going to perform any stall tests? Yes. Absolutely idiotic. He's going to forego stall testing because he knows what speed the canard will stall at? Just like he knew how much the airplane would weigh, how much horsepower the engine produces, the elevator hinge system, etc, etc, etc. My favorite is "the stall will be benign". He literally has no clue what he's talking about.
