Here is one taking off at St-Barthélemy TFFJ: http://youtu.be/9nbD8hOB1QA-Pascal I mentioned on his YouTube feed that a Turbo Commander would be an ideal choice to go in there, but he replied to someone else he had his eyes set on a Cheyenne II. I'm obviously biased, but I think the Turbo Commander would be a better choice. Get the right model and he can even go direct from Tampa.

No way I'd ever fly a Pratt TP again after flying a Garrett. I loved my Cheyennes, but they're in a totally different league than the Mits with the TPE331-10s.
One of the planes I operated was the Cheyenne IIXL; comparable HP, higher fuel burn, less performance. Seriously, no comparison.
You could definitely do Tampa to St. Barth direct, you'd have no trouble from there back to the states either, even if the winds didn't let it be Tampa.

I dont like my EDM-760, and have just as nice of a panel as he does, and i see lots of deficiencies in my panel. I want to upgrade my engine monitor (drop all of my old engine gages which are notoriously unreliable) and upgrade the copilots instruments. In my mind, all he seemed to do was replace the 530/430 with two 750s. What else did i miss? And why is the EDM 760 considered so darn good compared to an EDM 960? I do really like the new interior. I thought the old paint was pretty darn good too. dan

Pascal, There was a Dr in Montreal flying an Cessna Rstol T310R into St-Barths all the time. Username Protected wrote: Wrong airplane for St-Barts. Split Flaps are all drag, no lift. Never seen a Twin Cessna in St-Barts. Twins operating there are Twin Otter, B-N Islander, Piper Aztec. MU-2 from St-Croix apparently operated in/out it there as well.
There is however a YouTube video showing a Cessna 402C landing in St.-Barts. That's basically an unpressurized 414A. So I guess anything is possible !

Dr. Henri Atlas. T310R C-GDHA I have a bit of time as co-pilot on C-GDHA. I don't recall it having RSTOL, but it did have the maximum possible tankage available, removed by its new owner to gain some useful load. It was recently resold again: http://www.transglobalaviation.net/airc ... sna-t310r/-Pascal

I believe that is the one. It had Robertson stol on it when I flew it with Luc at BL and he told me he did the install. Pretty impressive slow speed with fowler flaps. Username Protected wrote: Pascal, There was a Dr in Montreal flying an Cessna Rstol T310R into St-Barths all the

The plane being advertised for sale has the RSTOL kit. You can see the fowler flap tracks under the wing. Funny thing they don't list it as an option as this is definitely a desirable feature to people that need the capability.
