if they are smart enough to add a chute, that thing will sell like hotcakes. Mooney's are hot looking airplanes

Not sure about the RG version...and I haven't seen anything to definitively say 2 or 3 seats. Pretty sure it isn't 4, unfortunately.
Here are two pics posted on mooneyspace... I'm guessing from the Chinese airshow/unveiling. Can't tell easily if there is a back seat. You had me at side sticks. In all honesty, I don't get the obsession with side sticks. I understand that it makes ingress/egress easier, but it just feels wrong to me. That being said, overall that is a great looking modern cockpit. Why haven't electronic circuit breakers caught on in the certified world at all yet?

David, Have you flown in, or flown a plane with side mounted yokes or sticks? They free up a tremendous amount of space in the cockpit. Given the plus size of modern pilots that's a big (no pun intended) deal. They also make it much easier to see the panel completely without head bobbing or neck craning. Finally, they are quite intuitive and comfortable to use. Frankly, I don't understand why any manufacturer doesn't adopt them.

I have flown a plane with side sticks, but I've never owned one. Maybe if I spent more time with it I would get used to it. It's probably just a matter of what you're accustomed to, and after a lifetime of driving cars with steering wheels and then flying planes with yokes, the side stick feels a little odd to me.
Interestingly, the center stick in a Cub feels even better than a yoke! So, maybe there is something more to it than pure habit.

Here is the brochure. I notice the speed and range is lower than what was released earlier, but still quite good for the power/fuel flow. I'm starting to really like the concept. EDIT: you'll have to open the jpg and zoom in to see it. Sorry! Attachment: m10.jpg

I really like it. Looks like a Cirrus with a Mooney tail.
Amazingly fast. 180 knot cruise speed is great with a fixed gear plane.
Hope they sell this in the States or would it be impossible to import one of these?

Hope they sell this in the States or would it be impossible to import one of these? I'm very curious about their cert and production plan. No details have been released from what I can tell so far. It is squarely aimed at the Chinese market (for good reason) but I don't know if they'll do it here or over there. I don't believe there is any way to get it certified and in production here by 2017...the FAA just won't work that quickly. If they do it over there, I don't know if there are bi-lateral agreements with the FAA... there hasn't been a real need, yet. Heck, I don't even know if they have a civilian cert authority to deal with new products. This would be a GREAT test case to push the Part 23 re-write, and very timely. Ultimately I think it will be produced over there, and the best we could hope for is approval to import it here and maybe a parallel production line in the US. I'm looking forward to seeing it play out.
