Luc,
Garmin makes 2 versions of the PFD/MFD, this is the 'flipped' one.
The advantage is that the most used buttons have been moved to the right-side of the Display, so you can continue flying with your left hand, and not need to reach across or switch hands.. The 'normal' GDU works 'better' on the co-pilot side for the same reason.
It's surprising how many Avionics shops don't suggest this 'upgrade', specially on Dual G600 installs. Garmin, odly enough, designed it backwards.. and they charge extra for this option!
I just had to a friend who is upgrading a KA the other day for forgetting to order it this way. We were able to ship the unopened GDU back and get a 'right'-handed' one for the pilot side.

Nice Michael, glad you got the right hand PFD. So much easier to use.

PFD on right much easier to use. Exactly......can still keep your left hand on yoke and play with buttons with right hand. Did stalls in every conceivable configuration today. Emergency decent at 250 knots indicated gets your attention!! We did a torque roll today a couple times. There is a new fin on the fuselage that has made this maneuver much more benign. Still gets your attention! Steeps turns, slow flight........plane handles beautiful.
Avionics gotcha's still biting me in the butt!?! Shot several approaches today with real IMC and dodging some big ole thunderstorms.........plane handles it flawlessly.
Landings...............now that's always a little interesting. Site picture better. I made 5 beautiful landings. I thought "hell.....I got this". Coming home to my home base I pulled power out too soon and dropped to the runway like a bag of hammers! Thank god for a strong landing gear. The stiff landing gear and high pressure tires are going to take some getting used too.
My wife (also a pilot) has adapted to the avionics very easy. She's doing great flying the plane but struggling a bit with maneuvers.
Looongggg day. Great day!
ps. Credit card company called about abnormally HIGH credit card bills from multiple airports!!! I guess welcome to the world of Jet A!

Get some fuel card. I use UVair, World fuel and AEG fuels. UVair as a special discount with TBMOPA and the best in the US, World fuel is better in Canada and other parts of the world.

ps. Credit card company called about abnormally HIGH credit card bills from multiple airports!!! I guess welcome to the world of Jet A! Michael, I'm so happy for you. You sound like you are having a blast. I saw an 850 on the ramp in Pierre SD yesterday on my way to Bozeman. What a great looking beast! My lottery plane. Had some strange looking cockpit windscreen cover and some covers that ran from the prop-tips to somewhere else. I wish I had taken a picture for you, sorry. I wish I had known about the reverse g500 for my install. Did something yesterday I had not done before on the advice of one of our BT brothers here. When flying in to Bozeman from the East. Fly to somewhere near Billings, then cancel IFR and follow the interstate West in to Bozeman. I was at 8500. Super friendly controllers. Spoke with Denver Center most of the time. Had never been that far West before. I flew using the rotary knob to control heading. It would indeed have been much simpler to have that knob on the right. Then you make your final turn Northwards and voila there is the runway. 30, cleared to land, straight in, except I'm at 8500..... Yay for speedbrakes. Descended at 1600fpm..... Barely slowed her down enough for flap deployment.... Interesting landing. Winds come from everywhere that close to the mountains. Keep us posted with more pics! My GTN going in on August 8th. It would have been nice yesterday as I was dodging cells for most of the day. Using the iPad, stratus and the strike finder worked, but having it all in front of you would have been more convenient.

Username Protected wrote: Dave, No I do not?!? I suppose I should? Who do you recommend? I see Marc has more suggestions below and I may look into his first. I used both Colt and AFuel and found Colt was better or at least equal so often where I go, I just dropped AFuel and kept Colt. It eliminates you having to haggle with the FBO and you know you're getting a good rate. The way it works though is with bank draft. So, you have to set up an account where they directly draft a bank account. They give plenty of notice, but some still don't like that. But, as has been said, you can check their fuel rate on their web site v. AirNav or what ever you use now and quickly see the difference. https://www.coltinternational.com/If you want to check fuel at a couple places send me the identifier in an e-mail and I'll send you the results or just call them. Best, Dave

Marc: I've found Colt to be the best where I go but wouldn't mind checking UVair rates against them. Have you compared? I'd be interested if UVair had some places better. I've even called Colt a couple times when their rate wasn't good and had them adjust it, but some FBOs don't take it and some municipal FBOs have rates as good. Best, Dave
