Thanks Stan. I liked the SX, and would have bought one if any were for sale. I like the strength of this Glasair. It is built very well. Looking forward to having a newer airplane with a great panel that I can afford to keep.

The little AA1A is a blast also. WOT everywhere. 85 in the pattern, 75 across the numbers and then hold it off until it lands. If you force it you will bounce. On the third bounce you will buy a prop. Otherwise, it is a dirt simple plane and a blast to fly. I gave my 14 year old son his first lesson the other day. He is a natural. Will be easy to teach.

I loved the ten or so hours I flew a Yankee, what an amazing feel for a certified (and non-aerobatic) airplane. Not the fastest thing in the world but sure make a good imitation fighter jet!

back in the day I soloed and had about 20 hrs in the Grumman TR-2..lots of fun to fly--controls very responsive...and the canopy was very stylish I thought--esp. for a trainer

Any thoughts on these paint schemes?

Still has to have red nose to be a real clown plane.

Already did. Got about 45 minutes in it. Will get another hour or so doing landings and power off descents along with emergency gear extensions. It is an easy plane to fly with simple systems. Comes down fast dirty. You want to land gear up if landing off airport due to the sink rate with gear down and probability of flipping over and being trapped in the plane when the nose gear fails and you flip.

My clown plane has a red nose and is the best flying and best made plane that I have ever flown. Here are a few pictures

So far I am very impressed with performance one aviation in Mesa. The plane was as represented. They had a 30k hour test pilot give me the demo ride. He has flown just about everything.

They are installing extended tip tanks with fuel along with a 13 gallon quick disconnect baggage tank for me. I will have over 80 gallons useable when it is done. Fort Myers non stop on 4 hours or so plus IFR reserves.
