Why do all these single pilot jets fall just short (pun intended) on taking me from CA to HI? That's not a mission worth considering when they design these things?
Very doable! You start in the jet and finish on a trawler (g). Unfortunately, that's a mission that there's not a large market for. Usually a larger plane that carries more for a mission of that length. As you can see, most of these smaller jets look to 1,000NM range or so with IFR reserves to balance against cost. It would have to carry a LOT more fuel for that mission and it's around 7 pounds per gallon (every hour of burn would be nearly equal in weight to the payload).
Best,
Dave

Sounds promising! Although the range is a bit short...would like coast to coast non-stop. The aft baggage door is a huge bonus as is the short field capability. And we all know that Swiss build quality will be superb.

App released.
App sucks. Honeywell has an App?

Right there sums up how crappy it is.

Do you know that to update the Nav Data and charts on my Honeywell I need to hook the plane up to a GPU, bring everything up to full power and then using a laptop that I cannot use for anything else that runs Windows 7 only I spend 1.5 hours. It's utterly insane.
The same task on the G1000 took 3 minutes with a little data card. It doesn't load on a USB drive? Check into the DL950 data loader...not sure if it works on the newer Honeywell stuff but on my 90's era Honeywell Avionics its pretty painless.
