C'mon, iPad owners, share the details on uploading pictures. We need 'em.

We're all still drooling @ the plane porn on the first page of this thread

If I knew how to help ya I would. Don't have an ipad but do have an iphone.

When I need to get a pic from my iphone I......
1. tap the pic I want
2. select the forward feature
3. email it to myself
4. open the email on my laptop or office pc
5. download the pic to either the desktop or my pics
6. then open up bt and attach to the posts as usual

What about that Wing Spar AD on the 400 series? Came out about 1 year ago. It was a huge cost IIRC, something along the lines of $60-100K!

Is it the SID you are thinking about ?

The 400 series AD dates back to 2003 or so.

Only applies to 414A's, the straight 414's are not affected.

Your method works, except I wasn't traveling with a laptop, maybe there is no way to load from the I-pad?

Thanks for the comments

I knew some (non-A's) that had cracking aft of the firewalls under the nacelles. I don't remember, is there a max landing weight on the 414? Remember to burn 1.5 hrs on the mains before switching to the AUX tanks. Also, watch the speed on the landing lights. 1) the motors are $$$$, 2) If you trip the breaker (too much wind resistance-extension) then you lost the shuttle pump, too.

enjoy!

I met patrick Swayze at whiteman airport KWHP in 1999. He was a maniac and flew his plane, N414PS, a cessna 414 ram HARD. He made many trips to his other ranch home in sante fe new mexico. He kept it for years and never traded up. He could have easily afforded a turbine or jet job, king air, conquest, gulf stream, citation, but was always happy with his 414. He sold it about 1 year before he died.

I installed a new Garmin stack in 414PS for the new owner in 2007. The plane stunk to high hell of cigarette smoke, and I found a lighter under the pilot's seat, which I still have to this day. I didn't find out that it was Swayze's plane until halfway thru the install. A quick search for N414PS reveals quite the story. Aviation is a small world, my friends...
