The Marchetti has a back door. I understand it's also fun to sit in and make airplane noises Attachment: SU SU III5.JPG Attachment: SU SU III6.JPG Attachment: SU SU III7.JPG Attachment: SU SU III8.JPG The tail feathers are larger than the 185, and instead of having a tab on only the right elevator, it has tab on the left, and live rudder trim. The right tab is the trim tab. the left is the anti-servo tab. Attachment: SU SU III9.JPG Attachment: SU SU III10.JPG Attachment: SU SU III11.JPG

Is this one of them Marchetti's? I slip through Bergstrom's big Hangar every once in awhile, to see what might be Passing Through I thought this was some kind of Bird Dog , but not anything like the ones I have seen

I happen to be on vacation in South Tirol (Italy) and I was just up the road from this airport where the guy flies his PC-12. Attached are a couple pics. First off, the approach and landing at this place is crazy. It's situated in a deep canyon with wires running across not 3000' from the end of the "runway". The "runway" is nothing more than a grass hill that cannot be much more than 1500' but it's pretty steep, at least 20% so that helps. To say it is a one way in, one way out strip is an understatement. The airfield and hangar are attached to a factory which looks like it produces some kind of building products. The whole place was open but no one was around. There was a Kodiak and some kind of sport aerobatic airplane int he hangar. The PC-12 was gone (he's probably in Ibiza again with his girlfriends). There looks to be an older hangar built into the hill but there is a very new and huge hangar that is without a doubt the nicest I've ever seen. This dude definitely did something right in a previous life.

I wonder how winter ops work at that strip? Don’t they get a fair amount of snow?

He definitely knows how to live life!

Quote: He definitely knows how to live life! True statement. Plus on top of the flying bit, South Tirol (Sudtirol) is the most amazing place I've ever been and I've traveled a lot. These people have refined life to the highest possible level here. It's a utopia.
