This is why when you asked I suggested a 152 or some equivalent tri-gear airplane. I have been down the the tail-wheel road and did not enjoy it and found it not worth the stress factor to competently fly one. Fun flying should be fun, cheap and your sphincter should not clench every time you line up on short final. The old 152 ect., isn't sexy but it is super easy to fly, cheap and safe.
To each his own I guess

But I've had great fun the last few years learning the tail wheel. It's challenging for sure, but oh so satisfying to make a perfect three point or wheel landing.
I've tried a Ercoupe, and was bored with it after a hour. It's just a tiny, slow, hard to get into low wing.

I'm not even close to bored with the 120. For brutal crosswinds you can't beat a tricycle gear for no sweat landings.
But If I have to fly on those days, I'll take the Bonanza.
