That appears to be around a 3 to 3-1/2 second roll. Close to a Super D.

Every single person that has seen the project has asked the same question, "how you gonna get it out of here"? I just give them the "Oh $#&%" look, like I've never thought of that Robert

Stuart there is a guy from EAA 32, whose name is Rick Galati, who worked on the C-17 air frame at Boeing for a number of years and he had a technique where he dipped the rivet in Pro-Seal before the hammered it. Did a very neat job. I'll look for his article and post it here when I find it. updated link. http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?t=7602

Stuart, I have drilled the tanks, and about half way through deburing them. Taking a few weeks off as I am in Australia. Of course when I get beck I have to prep for Oshkosh so I bet I wont actually do any sealing until August! I am also nervous, but have been collecting a few articles with tips and have a builder who has done one set of tanks that will help me with the riveting and provide moral support. The current question I am wresting with is flop tubes or no flop tubes. My current thinking is to do one of each. What is your plan?

Fritz, The flop tube installation on the RV8 required quite a bit more work, so I ended up just altering one tank for inverted flight. Like you said one of each, if you forget to switch to the flop tube tank before going inverted you will quickly be reminded.

Thanks Kevin, How did you do the fuel sender for the tank with the flop tube? Any insights or links would be great. I think the -8 and the -7 tanks are the same.
Thanks!

Technically not an rv but close. The Harmon rocket II is based off of an rv 4. This was a super quick build(purchased already built) but I plan to make several updates to it when I find the time.
