Yes it is. :D

That appears to be around a 3 to 3-1/2 second roll. Close to a Super D.

I know where there is a loaded top of the line RV 6A that can be bought. It's not on the market.

Pray tell! Every 6 I have seen always has the o-320 instead of the io-320. What does loaded mean to you? To me it is all newer glass, injected, io-360 would be nice.

I am slow building a RV 7 in my garage. Currently working on the tanks of which I don't have any pictures, but here are the wings. Like most builders I am regularly asked wh e I will be done. Currently I am forecasting completion and first flight on Tuesday. Is that changes I will let you all know!

Mine is in the basement. Every single person that has seen the project has asked the same question, "how you gonna get it out of here"?

I just give them the "Oh $#&%" look, like I've never thought of that ;)

Fritz, where are you on the tanks? I've been hearing the perils of Pro-Seal for 20 years. I'm pretty intimidated.

I have a RV10 in a storage shed. Bought it years ago before the Debonair partnership came about. A 2.5 year military deployment halted my progress. Wife wants me to sell it for fear of me becoming a hangar hermit. Planning on picking it up when I retire next year. It will be tough because I love the Bonanza.

I test flew the 10 at Oshkosh then flew another that had some ammenities. I like the idea of the fast four place metal kit but vans needed to make the 10 a little bigger. Make it a 300hp airplane with the useful load to hold 4 people and a big baggage compartment. The big thing you'll notice is the your bonanza will feel much more solid.

The empty weight of an RV-10 is only about 1600 pounds.

Stuart there is a guy from EAA 32, whose name is Rick Galati, who worked on the C-17 air frame at Boeing for a number of years and he had a technique where he dipped the rivet in Pro-Seal before the hammered it. Did a very neat job. I'll look for his article and post it here when I find it.

updated link.

Stuart,

I have drilled the tanks, and about half way through deburing them. Taking a few weeks off as I am in Australia. Of course when I get beck I have to prep for Oshkosh so I bet I wont actually do any sealing until August! I am also nervous, but have been collecting a few articles with tips and have a builder who has done one set of tanks that will help me with the riveting and provide moral support.

The current question I am wresting with is flop tubes or no flop tubes. My current thinking is to do one of each. What is your plan?

Fritz,
The flop tube installation on the RV8 required quite a bit more work, so I ended up just altering one tank for inverted flight. Like you said one of each, if you forget to switch to the flop tube tank before going inverted you will quickly be reminded. :D

Thanks Kevin, How did you do the fuel sender for the tank with the flop tube? Any insights or links would be great. I think the -8 and the -7 tanks are the same.

Thanks!

Technically not an rv but close. The Harmon rocket II is based off of an rv 4. This was a super quick build(purchased already built) but I plan to make several updates to it when I find the time.
