I you are serious about the question, then examine the 1958 - 1961 model 35 Bonanza.

A quick search of Trade-A-Plane in that year range of a Bonanza 35 reveals 9 choices ranging from $39,000 and up.

The 39K airplane gives you about 20 K working room to improve your "old" airplane to the airplane you want, which is what I ended up doing.

Otherwise, I really prefer the PBY choice. It has the range, the class, the load carrying and permits you to easily become the ultimate fly fisherman.

Oops....I think he has a low budget and the C210 and C310 would not be as ideal as a C206 which is a better hauler, lower insurance with fixed gear, etc....if you could find a decent one at $60K. If not that leaves the C182 which is an economical airplane with low overhead.
