3 with taking care of Blondie. And you still run a company?
Right? This is the sick part. Every trip was either a weekend or the three days after Christmas. So really I have two jobs.
True dat. Thanks for doing the work. Fine job it was.
I should add that I flew these flights with three different right seaters. All of them were first timers in Citations. Doug actually had a picture of me I’d like to keep on the down low so I have to say he was the best!

Possible injuries, stuck in a field in bitterly cold weather waiting for rescue. 2. Mark glides into an airport and lands and the chute fanatics deride him for taking such a high risk when the chute was the "right" option. There is no room for error or go around, at some point you are too low fro the chute to work. 3. Mark crashes attempting #2. Yup, those are all a different "game" than a twin jet OEI. Mike C.

Played right into Mike's hands... Can't say he doesn't have a point, I've been there and been happy to have the second engine. My experience was in a TP but very similar to Mark's, difference being the point of failure was an oil line rather than the filler cap.

Business trip today from KSDL-KMKC-KSAW. Because I had business people aboard I asked Jesse J to crew with me. He flew as Captain and I tried to add value as SIC. KSAW was experiencing heavy snow and visibility as low as 1/2. Runway conditions were hardpack snow with one to two inches new snow on top. Runway is over 10,000 feet so we had a lot to work with. We requested an alternate missed approach in case things did go our way. We got a request by the tower to report when we had landed. If we landed. This is tantamount to saying we can’t see the runway so you infer it is pretty bad. Saw the rabbit at 200agl and continued down to 100 feet. The runway lights came into view but that’s it. It was just two rows of lights with nothing but white as far as you could see. Jj favored the righ side. Smart as it was easier to keep the right side lights in the peripheral vision. Like a seaplane driver landing close to shore in glassy water.
Landing was stella. Boyz got mad skilz. Use the 360 to see what a boss he was. Notice my face looking for the runway. Jesse got it going on

Any tire marks in the snow from previous airplanes? That can be good or bad . Sounds like a rewarding flight.

Username Protected wrote: That makes two of us on this thread that had inflight engine shutdowns in a jet in 2017. Although it's not common, it happens. How many others were there? How many were precautionary? How many were failures? We don't know. No headlines, no stories, no stats. For obvious reasons, I'll stick with my pair of fans. I would bet the majority of turbine in flight shut downs are oil related.

Sounds like a rewarding flight. Those were our tracks after a 180 on the runway. The tower reported 1/8” dry over 1/8” hardpack and 7 miles viz at the IAF. Then a snow squall came in a dumped while we came down the ILS. Hopefully the other video does a better job of showing the forward view. At about 100-50 ft, the two rows of runway lights were there just floating in white space. There was no horizon as the heavy snow falling blended with the new snow on the ground. Absolutely awesome flight.
