AOA was on the left side of the AI and also on the indexer on the glareshield.
Indexer indicated he was faster than Vref the entire approach until wheels hit the runway.
I think AOA works fine, you are just flying final fast. Or you are off on your Vref calculation, maybe because your landing weight is off.
Have you tried flying the AOA indicator on final instead of airspeed?
BTW, I do hate having the FD V bar out of sync indication a right turn while flying straight on final.

I seem to recollect his speed was within 10 knots of Vref the entire time. Jesse is very good at speed control. We used APG to calculate Vref. Might the weight be a bit off? Hmmm. Not more than a couple hundred pounds.
I do remember he was fast at KVXY. 20 knots fast. But that 421 experience kicked right in.
Noticed the FD off as well. Both landings.

The 550 have a flying AOA vane that rotates like the 525? On the 525 the AOA vane can start hanging up and not rotating freely. The bearings and the race it runs in goes out of round when the pitot/AOA heat is left on on the ground for too long. It gets spots where it hangs up which may account for the jumping around. When you preflight it, roll it around and see if you feel any roughness or where it might be catching.

Yup same type of AOA.
