I like "Show fuel planning page" and "show destination weather page" because I don't typically need them under the gun, it's while I'm just loafing in cruise. Also, FWIW, I wish it could affect COM2. My cockpit management habit is to tune things like ATIS and ground on COM2, and current active ATC freq on COM1. However, "Tune destination ATIS" affects COM1, there's no way to tell it to do it on COM2. So... I either need to revamp my habits or ignore some of those features. I do like Anthony's idea of tune destination tower, I may try that one.

My good friend gets mandatory retired in 2 weeks. He went to initial training with me and was considering flying for them some. For him, better now than 6 months from now.
Pilots were sometimes flying 4-6 legs per day and only getting ~$1,000/day. Memberships for ~$1,000 a month and $2,000/hour. Part 91...yeah, right.
Could not run a business or crooks? I don't know.
First flight in 24 days yesterday. Quick trip over near Raleigh for meeting and pick up 300 pounds of wood vents. Worked morning in Charlotte then departed around 1PM.
Rusty, I was. I broke my rule and suffered embarrassment in return. Never ever remove rudder lock until gear pin is in before flight. Never ever put rudder lock on until gear pin is out.
Long time very good line guy hard waved at me just as I was about to start up. Me, Thinking I checked to be sure all chalks were removed.
Gear pin not in....argh. Being in a hurry is not wise flying Avanti. I know better. Only posting my knucklehead mistake so yooos guys don’t copy it.
17,500 VFR and 300lbs/side gives me around 275-280 TAS
I love this aeroplane

I do think for 135 outfits especially, the manufacturer can make a big difference in viability through intelligent design of inspection and maintenance programs. I am not convinced Piaggio’s maint program is in that category… While I don’t pretend to have the expertise to do such a thing, a custom inspection program might make sense for a fleet operator.

Individuals can do it, just need to put together a plan and submit it to your FSDO. Usually, you take the factory program and make adjustments to it, so your plan can be very few actual pages of new material. Be aware that factory plans don't make overhauls mandatory (even if they say so), but any plan you submit will make overhauls mandatory if you don't explicitly call out overhauls as optional. This is one of those little details that catches people. There is an AC on how to make your own inspection program, AC 91-90. If you can find someone who has done this already for your type, it can help. The LUMP program I have for my Citation dramatically lowers my inspection costs. I go 3 years between significant inspections. I'm on track to spend same or less per hour than my MU2 since the MU2 had at least 100 hour or 12 month inspections. Since the LUMP is offered by Textron, it doesn't require FSDO approval, and thus it also doesn't make overhauls mandatory. Mike C.

In practice I’m not sure I have the knowledge and experience personally to put together (and properly support with documentation) a rational program.
I think it would make sense for a savvy maintenance provider to put one together that they could sell to their customers, similar to what Bacon does with 441s for example.
