Anyone else notice the gear deflection? Sketchy at best and wouldn't doubt if we see a failure at some point.

Guys i think the time has come to let the guy sink or swim. Soon we will, know if he has an airplane or a smoking hole maker.
If i knew his schedule i would go watch and cheer for him to get around safely.
I am only 25 miles away.

I’m feeling your concern though. Those hops looked iffy with the prop that close to the runway.

I think it’s his flying that made the hops look iffy, and honestly, with a new airplane it doesn’t surprise me that he’s not an ace on the controls. I’m with Rocky:

I think he has 9 degrees before the prop strikes. I think he is trying to limit it to 7 degrees. I don’t know anything about canards, but that seems a little close.

I think it’s going to fly, but I think it’s going to perform well below the SR22. People are are going to believe and he will get another $2 million to play with. That gives us another 2 years of being critics. :coffee:

With how much suspension compression and gear flex?

Lake Marion, SC is only 25 miles from Valdosta, GA?

Now, now, we can’t do that real world stuff.

I would like to see a straight back picture at that bounce. I bet that was really close.

LOL...... now Peter is adding weight in the left winglet to offset the right turning tendency we saw in his video. Current weight of just Peter and unknown fuel is 3493 lbs. Can you imagine having to add ballast to your passenger seat to control an aircraft? I think this thing is going to be scary inflight.

Nothing to do with P factor what so ever...
Just add weight, and use more duct tape...
He seems to not really understand that with a large engine you need some rudder on take off...

This guy   Why not just add a bit more fuel on the side you want to be a bit heavier. Fishing weights in the winglet, near the rudder controls :ohno:  :beechslap:???? Are you freaking kidding me? This has turned into a real freak show. Or why not just fly the thing from the left seat??? The shimmy on that main gear looks concerning to me. Maybe the slow motion enhances it and makes it look worse than it is. I was at one time pulling for this guy. Now I am praying for him. I keep thinking one day no more videos will be posted because we will be reading a crash report instead.

Most of my posts on this thread are along the lines of "hey wait a minute" about some technical thing or other being justifiable... I'm pretty sure you guys get tired of me sometimes and I wouldn't blame you if you did ;)

But for this one, ugh! I guess you could say some airplanes have a weather radar radome (with the accompanying weight) on only one wing, out there at about half span- and presumably ballast on the opposite side. But this is... different.

Ugh!

Adding 5 pounds of weight at the end of ONE wing...  :ohno:
What could possibly go wrong...
Someone needs to have a serious chat with this guy. He seems to be quite smart, but he is "starting" to make some seriously bad decisions... This is not going to end well...

I run my right main low often enough...100# or so light on the right side doesn't bother the plane all that much. It is enough to notice, but not enough that I'd desire some right side ballast. Very strange.

it seems the solution to all problems is to add weight.
