In the end, I bought the PC12 because the little jets just don't have any range or payload. They don't do anything well. There's a reason a 100 can be had for $2 mil but it takes $8 mil to get a 300. Until you get to CJ2+ or CJ3 and bigger, they just don't make sense. The average price of business jets produced in the U.S. last year was over $7M.

Little jets exist for 1 reason...... Sex appeal. That's funny Jason.... And then logic sets in. It's a little like graduating from low slung, uncomfortable sports cars to the ultimate autobahn cruiser once your ego gets out of the way. You wonder what took you so long.... Even use the "raise car" setting once in a while to get in and out.... Ha!

Because all the jet pros are on-line. What should I buy. My best friend has a PC12 which I do like however its not that much faster than my G58. Sorry Jason but its true on a 400 mile run.. King airs are expensive to run.. They stopped making conquests a long time ago.... What do I buy really... A premier?? Terry.

Name me the first jet that can do this. My plane may not be faster than a jet..... But it is faster than a jet.

Seating capacity is 8-9
"Producing 2,490 pounds (11.08 kN) of thrust at sea level, the CJ2+ is powered by two Williams FJ44-3A-24 turbofan engines. Even at the maximum takeoff weight with every passenger seat filled, the CJ2+ will still travel more than 1,150 nautical miles (2,130 km). Take on runways as short as 3,360 feet (1,024-m) and use less fuel than other jets in the category. Climb directly to 45,000 feet (13,716 m) in just 28 minutes — eight minutes faster than the original CJ2."

However, I say "every seat filled" in a CJ2+ on that mission is probably pushing it. You're also leaving out bags.

The CJ2+ is a serious machine. The CJ1 is less capable than my 421C for this type of mission.....but it goes twice as fast and is always over weather. That is the downside of a turboprop. They always put you in the worst weather in the 20s.
I like the Conquest II. 35,000' 300KTAS. It will carry 1,400lbs over 2,000NM. 11 seats max, 9 seats in comfort. Beats most small jets long range due to long legs. $1.5M gets a nice one. My PC12 seats 11. 20's is the worst kind of weather? I just flew in this crap over Atlanta. Tops were about 7000'. I've flown all over the US and caribbean in the PC12. Have yet to be "in the weather".
