No idea who the new owner is, but quite a coincidence it's still bopping around the region.

In the cockpit, short bodies are louder than long body MU2s because you are sitting closer to the props. I think the short bodies are slightly louder in the back, but that is heavily dependent on the year and whether it has any soundproofing. My wife said the back of a short body MU2 was comparable to the sound level of our C340A. I owned a long body Marquise and felt the cockpit was quieter than the 340. As Jon said, the external noise isn’t that noticeable in the cabin. Plus, the sound drops noticeably both inside and out when you advance the condition levers to “T/O Land” position right before takeoff.

There is a big difference between the cockpit proper including the space between the prop arcs and the pax seating area.
In the back of a short body I didn’t bother with headsets on shorter flights.
The airframe is very stout and jam packed with insulation but some are better than others, door seal attention etc. all side windows are triple pane.
Never had a direct complaint on noise from pax. In fact most said it was the most comfortable plane they’d been in (non-pilot pax used to flying jets).
