They're still there.. still hogging the cart and just as unhappy when my wife took a photo of 'em as we taxied in yesterday afternoon. She hadn't read this thread to know that taking photos was strictly prohibited Attachment: hondajet.jpg

I have just read this whole post from start to end and she is a cracker. I thought Aussies had a great sense of humour but BT seems to have it as well. Loved how it went from Honda to Cirrus and then V tail and now back. No matter what anyone says. Cost is still a factor. I've had an R22 which I loved an R44 which I loved a G36 which I loved, a G58 which I love and when one day I own an R66 and a JET I'll I hope I love them too. Terry

Interesting development with Cessna mothballing their small jets. The small personal jet market must have a difficult business plan. It will be interesting to see who makes it and who doesn't. Phenom now building mostly 300's, not 100's. Honda does have very deep pockets, incredible research and marketing departments..... I'll never own one, but its fun to watch from the sidelines.

Username Protected wrote: Because of acquisition or operating costs? I did tons of research. I wanted a jet so bad I could taste it. In the end, I bought the PC12 because the little jets just don't have any range or payload. They don't do anything well. There's a reason a 100 can be had for $2 mil but it takes $8 mil to get a 300. Until you get to CJ2+ or CJ3 and bigger, they just don't make sense.

Yup, that's my (and our company's) take on it as well. On the way home from KOSH yesterday I was greeted by a TBM and a PC12 on our ramp here in Iowa City. The ramp guys were funny. There was a beech jet as well and they moved it all the way to the end of the ramp. TBM and Pilatus front and center, like they should be. The Red Bo made a ruddervator Dip when taxiing by.... Grounded myself today. Am taking cold medicine. And it looks like the nicest day of the year yet, and I'm off to Europe next week. Trying to get some flying in Wednesday to the avionics shop for a plan and a quote. Accountant said "go" , within reason.
