However, operators outside of the US will use off hard surface ops more frequently. Pilatus customers such as the Royal Flying Doctors Service and some Canadian operators need this capability. Pilatus created the jet and it’s features based off customer demand. Quote: The PC-24 is a well executed airplane, but the game isn't really changed by it very much. Agree for the majority of the light jet market, but finding a niche market is where Pilatus’s history is. It is a game changer for those niche markets. I think for the US operators the cabin size, quite power mode (apu), pressurized cargo, heated cargo, and the cargo door will be the big benefits US operators will see over current market options. I didn’t appreciate how much larger the 24 is over the CJ4/P300 until I sat in the cabin.

If that proves out with the 24, it will be one of the best attributes of the jet. Shelling out 9m for a plane will be a lot easier knowing that you’ll get most of it back.

I do think that's an interesting tidbit. I'd be curious to know how they know. Also, I agree the problems Miami is seeing are unique to Miami. Why aren't all coastal towns dealing with flooding. As for blocked tail numbers..... do you think C550 owners block their tail #s more than all other types? There are secretly thousands of C550's flying but we just can't track them? Same with MU2's huh? The whole fleet is flying but those guy just happen to be super secretive about their lives..... more than any other pilots.

Looks like 12 C550s flying in the US right now
