Yeah no doubt but like I said a few posts ago..... My buddy owns a charter outfit with about 8 SR22's and makes money running them. So if you can do it with SR22's...... Folks will pay more to be in the SF50. Lot's of charter business in and out of Atlanta to the beach and florida etc.

Lot's of charter business in and out of Atlanta to the beach and florida etc. SF50 costs 3X an SR22? Fuel for a trip in an SF50 is 3X the SR22? Will his customer pay 3X - 4X for the SF50 ride vs. the SR22? You know what his charter cost/hr is for a SR22 trip?

A new SR22 is $900K. A new SF50 is 2.2MM The SF50 is a lot faster so it's closer to $100-$200 more per hour for the SF50 than the SR22 plus JetFuel is a lot cheaper. With Pilot his SR22 rate is around $600 per hour.

With Pilot his SR22 rate is around $600 per hour. Mark this post and we will see if your friend is chartering his SF50 for $800/hr or less a year after he puts it in service. One of the interesting wrinkles is for 135 PICs in an SF50 will need an ATP. See 135.243(a)(1). Can't use a cheap commercial pilot looking to build time. And ATP's are a lot tougher to get under the new regs and the 121 carriers are snapping them up. An ATP's contract rate goes for $400/hr and up.

Not to mention that single engine ATP's are as rare as hen's teeth.

Maybe they could get a waiver for the SEATP because it has a chute.

A SE ATP can be gotten with the SF50 type rating if they meet the qualifications or already have an ATP. The type rating ride is the same as the ATP ride and both can be had on the same ride.

I'm surprised he can operate it cheaply enough to make money at that rate unless its an older model.
