Arguing autopilots with the Raptor is like arguing the flavor of ice-cream you will have when you start living on Pluto.

Another video, another WTF?

"moved the static port to inside the cabin"

And this is supposed to be (I guess eventually) a pressurized cabin.

But even if it's not pressurized, most cabins have lower pressure than actual. So his airspeed is going to be reading fast and the altimeter high. Unless that cabin pressure changes with the AOA.

There are times where he comes across as at least somewhat intelligent, but others where I just have to wonder. :hide:

I haven't been following the Raptor saga very closely.

This last video when he's slightly airborne after rotating at 87 knots seems rather alarming. Most small planes that's a cruise climb!

It's 100+ pages but all your questions will be answered if you start reading. You'll save a lot of time by working backwards... I don't think it's really necessary to go all the way back to page 1.

We've talked about this very thing in the most recent pages too.

If it’s pressurized then it’ll do zero indicated.

That's one way to lower the stall speed.

Oh, but the first couple of pages are wonderful — several people defending the Raptor, dissing naysayers, etc. Also, do a Search and read the pages with posts by Chris Close, especially when he started posting at the end, when he left in a huff.

Or, do what I should’ve done a year or more ago and click “Ignore Thread” and be happy about it.

After reading further, I'm joining the "ignore thread" club.
