Jason, again, comes up with honest, well-thought-out observations that some may not agree with because he may have a different (newer? fresher? less biased?) outlook than many of us older codgers have.
Even if I don't 100% agree with everything he says, he gives me good reason to think about things from a new perspective. Randy, I've got 3 sisters, one Mom, been married twice and had....let's say a few girlfriends. Hormonal, sniping women is a redundancy. I agree about Jason. He's caught some flak here but none of this is personal (at least to me it's not). We have a common passion and regardless the finer points, life is about change and improvement is always change. If the health of GA hinges on modernization we need to embrace it and if the health of GA enables us oldsters to fly our Aluminium birds let's just fly 'em and smile.

Even if I don't 100% agree with everything he says, he gives me good reason to think about things from a new perspective. Does this mean "I'm in" or "I'm out"? Inquiring minds want to know.

Just curious, when did they go belly up? Sure, if they did not sell to CIGA it was likely going to happen. Yes, Cirrus did get behind on bills; but I do not recall ever seeing an article about filing for BK. Any form of it.... As for profit, they were profitable for years and were paying investors back. Then 2008 hit. If Cirrus had not chased the Vision Jet, they likely would never have been as close to belly up as they did get. Tim

BTW, why did Mooney die? They had a die hard owner loyalty group just as devoted as Beech. Why did they go bankrupt like Beech did? Mooney isn't dead, just badly wounded. They didn't go bankrupt, and the factory in Kerrville is open, but they are making parts right now not airplanes. Is there a market for an $800k piston Mooney? Not since 2008. And that's getting to be a few years ago.

Mooney makes a great airplane...just goes to prove that great airplane builders are always bankrupt!

Those that have problems with JC probably take exception more with his delivery than content. Parent to Child transaction deliveries can be hard for some old Type A crusty pilots to tolerate. However, I was impressed that he acknowledged that some are "button pushers" and some are pilots . . . Here's to the Pilots

Good Thread. Wish I was more confident about Beech to do the right thing. They need something soon. Fastest thing is adding LEADING technology in the form of Avionics, Passenger amenities, something.... to the existing airframes. Next is something that burns Jet A below the King Air line, and again, with some Leading technology and performance breakthrough.
