I'm flying a C340 RAMVII, and am wondering if you ever climb LOP. If so, what FF, MP and RPM are you using?
Murray no, I haven't tried that. Let me know if you figure out a good procedure. I only take about 25 minutes to climb to cruise, so I am not sure it would be worth the trouble. I would assume it would save maybe 10 gallons of fuel?

I do get some cylinders over 400f in the climb, with 27gph FF / side 38"MP (edit actually 33" MP) 2500 RPM.
So I'm trying to lower them, as I'm climbing at 125-130 kts.

Murray I have a climb power setting of 35/2500 listed in my POH and that is how I climb. I have the same fuel flow as you do at 38", so I would say you are a little low on your fuel flow.

My bad, the MP is at top of green or 33" in the climb.
