I'm late to this thread, but this might qualify for the best all-around post I've ever read on BT. Username Protected wrote: If I would have followed all the very sensible advices I have received from very competent people during my life......I certainly wouldn't be able to buy a plane today.

Tim Good timing Tim! Yes I have decided.... yesterday noon! I signed the letter of intent yesterday for buying this...... BEECHCRAFT G36. 2014.Factory options:Stormscope. (Included in the G1000 MFD) DME Co-pilot breaks Rosen sun visors. Custom metallic paint (to be finalized). Non factory optionsto be installed under the supervision of BEECHCRAFT EUROPE in TA after delivery of the aircraft in Wichita: TURBO (whirlwind III package) Built in Co2 Full genesis package (including Tips tanks and vortex generator) Super scimitar composite propeller TKS system (non FIKI approved) Bendix magnetos. Amsafe seat belts. Flap and gap seal kit. yesterday was my birthday, 59. so my wife and I decided it might be a good day to be stupid!! The sales and marketing manager for Beechcraft Europe, Pierre-Emmanuel de Tailly, has been fantastic and without him being so helpful and competent and honest I would have bought the PIPER MATRIX. delivery should take place end of June (depending on the paint) in Wichita, after that I will fly around for 2/3 days with Pierre-Emmanuel and deliver the plane to TA where it should stay for 4/5 weeks and then ferry flight to Europe expected end july early august! I can't thanks, all of you here on BT, for your kindness and the enormous help you all provided me during my buying process! Really, THANK YOU,all!!! I am waiting, now to receive some paint proposal from Beech, our intention is to have the plane painted in two tones of metallic/pearl blue (no white paint at all). As soon has I receive the drawing I will post them.

The ultimate Birthday present Jean-Michel! C'est formidable! Let us know the exact dates of your pick up in Wichita. Maybe we can arrange for a BT fly in to welcome you to America and to Beechcraft!

Thank you guys! Luc, this is a brilliant idea! As soon as I get the exact delivery date I'll let you know. I just start to realize that in 2/3 months I am going to own a G36! Any doctor around to confirm that someone can live about 10 weeks without sleeping?? Neal, It's a very kind offer, PM sent. Don, when do you stop shopping? I hope that we will have a chance to fly together.....It might become the most expensive flight of your life! since you might call Neal, directly from the plane, to order one

You can't. I am afraid, you are just going to have to give me that plane before you get harmed.

I know understand how doctors are making so much money in the US: they start by frightening the living hell out of their patients and then.... they steal their plane!!

Happy Birthday! Nice decision as well, although waiting for delivery has got to be agonizing! I'd be in for a delivery gathering in Wichita if there is interest, and if a Mooney owner is allowed. It is always fun to put names to faces, and mix in some steaks and beverages.
