You can descend at 260 KIAS and not worry about anything, but you should. Turbulence penetration speed in the TBM is 158 KIAS, compared to 127 KIAs in the Meridian. The plane can break, reference the MMU TBM in flight breakup fatal.

Saw that Piper delivered the first customer M600. I like the paint job. Pretty nice specs on the aircraft as well. 274 KTAS, >1400 nm, and G3000 with all the latest envelope protection as well as auto descent. Just need to figure out how to convince myself that my Meridian is not accomplishing what I need Attachment: M600 temp.jpg

All the seats in the back fold flat on the new planes, just the most rear seats fold flat on the older planes. My buddy takes a couple of mountain bikes not infrequently as he owns a bike company, just pops the front wheel off and puts the bike in a carry case. This was on a Santa Flight where the local Angel flight wing delivers, books, supplies, toys and Mr. and Mrs Clause to a selected Title one school. This one in Cedar City Utah. I had about 1000 lbs of books, toys and supplies here. They can haul, but they are not PC12's. AFW airlifts tons of stuff every year for the kids. Very heartwarming if you ever get the chance to use your plane for charity. Attachment: 1 - 1 (4).jpg Attachment: 1 - 1 (5).jpg Attachment: 1 - 1 (6).jpg

Attachment: 20160710_141949.jpg Well, after defending the Meridian for so long on this board none of you will be surprised that I closed on my Meridian last month, finished my training, and I am just starting to feel comfortable in it. Wow. Everybody was right. Flight levels, pressurization, and a turbine make all the difference in the world. I loved my B36TC but no comparison. Coming back from SoCal two weekends ago I felt bad for the guy on the radio in the Bo complaining about the ride while I was at FL270, with a tailwind, about 284KTS ground speed. Amazing. Here is a pic. Thank to all, especially Jason, for pointing out that life is short and now is the time. I couldn't agree more.
