And cockpit seats that are actually designed to be comfortable.

No doubt. Mine are awful but I've built up an immunity after a couple thousand hours.

In the NGX photo there is a distinct rectangular outline around the windows, but they are masked to look like the ovals of previous models. Camoflauge :)

I don't know, those do look similar but I've seen others that make the windows look different. Here are a few from the same angle and a 24.

Here is a facebook post they had last week, I think they are giving hints. Those windows in the FB post are certainly different.

They're definitely dropping hints on the windows and "NX". The new windows look to have a rectangular outline to me with decals or something on the inside to make them look rounded.

Has anyone heard any first hand reports on the American Aviation mod?
http://americanaviationinc.com/pilatus/

Maybe that’s the rumor I heard?

18 knot increase at FL280? That’s great if it’s true.

The speed increase of 18 knots was at 10,000 lbs. FL280 on a 6 degree C warmer than standard day in a back to back comparison. The speed increase gets larger as altitude increases so at lower altitudes the speed increase will not be as much but still significant. Rate of climb above FL180 is also significantly improved.

The cowling will be on display at the NBAA booth 5334.

Jim, are you doing the TBM next?

That’s great news Jim. I can’t wait to see one in the flesh. I love being able to mod my airplane. Any ballpark pricing yet?

Isn't this already the TBM cowling? That is, similar areodynamic refinements to those TBM applied to their cowling to turn the 850 into the 900?

Good find.

If you google PC-12 NGX you’ll see a link to a Honeywell page that has a 1 line preview about the new cockpit. Click on it and it says it’s unavailable. I guess it’s just waiting to go live?

is the fuselage tube on the PC12 the same as the PC24?

would make sense for mfg'ing to use the same tube, windows, stringers and bulkheads. probably drop the cost of production substantially.

No. Not even close. PC24 is much larger.

It wouldn't be so unreasonable to assume that Pilatus learned a ton of new stuff in the pc24 development and production that would be applicable to the pc12.

Milled wing (or wing improvements), better engine cowling, 7 blade prop and new gearbox, etc would help get you to a higher alitidude, and things learned in developing the cabin and pressurization system for the 24 could likely be applied to the 12.
