Say you flew to Geneva on a whim to see some friends.....can you visit the Pilatus factory to see their ops, and if so, whom should one call?

That's fine for you Jason, not everyone can afford a Pilatus. No need to act like a douchebag with your opinions...

Yes. I've done just that. Not sure who the guy is now though. Your dealer will set it up for you.

I wish my plane was as ugly as Jason's.......

And I wish I had the time / mission to go to the places that Jason flies to .

More power to him. And keep the stories coming......

It's a beautiful drive. Rent a convertible Benz or something from Avis at the Geneva airport. To me, a car in europe is like a plane in the states.

So a plane in Europe is like what in the US?

Cheers from Germany

I have always found that driving myself through Europe is a much better option than taking a train or flying commercial. Everything is very close.

London - Nice
2 hours on British Airways, 3 hours in a Baron (EGTF-LFMD), 14 hours by car, something really long in a train with 1 or more changes. Planes win.

London - Paris
2h14 city center to city center by train, everything else slower, car slowest at 5h28. Train wins.

I do hear you that you don't have that the typically ridiculous distances between cities which you have in the U.S., with vast open spaces in between, which often makes driving not a viable or pleasant option (other than along the East Coast corridor DC-Philadelphia-NYC-Boston).

Pleasant is not a word I would use to describe my last few drives between cities in that area. :pullhair:

Good point, poor choice of words... Spent 2.5 hours getting from Midtown to Newark on Thursday, there was nothing pleasant about that.
