The owner of our home field earned the distinguished flying cross in a Connie.

Dove the the plane over enemy territory to put out engine fires. Saved the crew from guaranteed pow camp

And Midway now.... Just inquired about landing there. They don't do PPR any more, and when I asked if they have a gas station they said NO SIRRRRR, we ride only bicycles, gas is bad for the environnnnment.....
