I don't gamble or buy lottery tickets, so this probably won't happen... but it's nice to dream....

You have the same chance of winning the lottery whether you buy a ticket or not. :D

I buy tickets all the time. Hasn't happened for me yet either. You can't win if you don't play though. ;)

The Starship goes all the way back to 1984. It was revolutionary. Too revolutionary for a buisness aircraft. First FMS, first glass cockpit, first auto deice, first composite plane (carbon fiber too), first pusher turboprop, first canard. And it was the first aircraft ever certified in the more stringent commuter category, too. The King Air B300 was second.

Beechcraft had a strong balance sheet until those carpetbagger finance vultures got ahold of it.

They are simple to fly and intoxicatingly fast. A friend of mine has a gorgeous 700 and has relisted his for sale. It seems he is very ambivalent about the decision to move up to a jet as he loves this plane. Totally upgraded panel (twin GTN 750s amongst other things). I soooo wish I could buy it!

Kevin, I think I found your buddy's TBM on controller. Even has a video with him taling about the plane. Novel marketing technique! Looks awesome!
Drop a G1000 in there and you are set!

My hangar neighbor has one and he loves it, it is an early one with a G600 in it... I have flown it and while it is fast, capable, long range, and comfortable for 3 or 4 people... It doesn't fly like a Beechcraft. The controls feel like you are flying a dump truck....

And, he quit flying it west of Denver at night... He said he just could not stomach the belly acid of looking down at the mountains in the dark....

If I won the Lottery (I don't buy tickets either) I would buy a FJ- 44 powered 500/550 conversion with a G-1000....

Faster, two engines, much nicer handling airplane, room for 6 or 8 comfortably, potty, and as much or more range than the TBM. The only thing missing on the jet is the reversible prop... One landing on a slick runway with no buckets will make you pine for a reversible propeller....

There is actually an STC to install the G1000 in the 700, $350k if I remember. Not worth it when you can do the G600.
They have only done 1 as I have been told. It was developped for the french army to upgrade their own A and B model.
Kevin I have talk to your friend Marc at last year TBMOPA convention.

If you won the lottery you'd buy a 40 year old frankenjet? Why?
