An engine out is very tame in the DA42 and this one has the VG's so I'm looking forward to seeing how much they improve the low speed and SE handling.

Congrats Doug, 20 mpg is pretty efficient for a kerozene burner.
Paul, Jet A1 is good to -47.

Because 17 people in Butte, MT died when their pilot forgot to do so.
Pure jet-A is good to whatever number -47 or so. The traces of water often found as contaminant are not and will crate ice-needles that clog up your fuel filters.

Because most people expect a PC12 to go higher than 12K. As you get higher it does get colder, and it gets much colder than any contaminates will freeze and cause problems.
