I have 130 hrs on a regular and Turbo. Nice plane, glass is fun. But it just doesn't compare now does it. Why would you want to go slower? This is going to be a fun thread.

If I decided that I could not afford to feed a twin, or when I think I am too old to fly a twin, a Cirrus would be high on my list, for 1 reason....
The parachute. Having that option makes sense.... Think about the times when you ask yourself, "where would I go it it quit right now?" And there is no good answer. There are only a couple times when a parachute pull has resulted in anything other than minor cuts and bruises....
If I was traversing the middle west in the daytime and the fire went out, I would fly a Cirrus to a field. But at night, on top of low clouds, or over the timber, I would pull the red handle.

I flew one for 100 hours or so and it did great. Never let me down. Flew it from Chicago to the islands.
Does it run smooth and quiet? Very smooth, I like how you don't really "fly it" just sort of manage it from your high chair.

Ale....I believe this was the "clown plane"..... You may have to hitch a ride in a PC12 to all Beech fly-ins..... but then, you are a brave one, just announce a 5 mile final in the middle of all the Bo's and Barons and just rub it in.... ...Babar.

Congratulations Ale!!!
You're right, especially sitting next to speedster, it's god awful ugly!
But, you said it best, IT'S A BUSINESS AIRPLANE. Therefor, a BUSINESS DECISION. Doesn't matter to me, as long as you're flying.
Curious, though, did you consider the TAT Turbo'd varaeties? My ex hangar partner's G3 Turbo was a VERY impressive airplane to fly!

Listen, it is not as pretty as my Bonanza, I find them kinda ugly to be honest but it's a business airplane. An almost new aircraft, very capable and I have my Cub for pure aviation enjoyment.
Florian it's a 2003. After I take possession I'll be installing a DFC90 digital AP with a new PFD and a new parachute later this year. Nice. And perhaps if you announce it as "Bonanza 722 Papa Bravo" no-one will notice. At least you'll have the cub!

Honestly, yes. With the performance with that system, and the marketing of Cirrus, it sure is a desirable aircraft!
