Bryan, Good point. I think that was just my simple way to describe the situation. Tou are technically right. In reality, I have been added as a named pilot on the insurance policy, and contribute a fixed rate per hour of use into my friend's engine, tie-down, and maintenance fund. Part of my pay-in also coveres my part of the higher insurance premium. You are right however and I truly do not "rent" the plane. The intent (and by adding me to the insurance policy) is to kind of make me a part owner/user. PS- I just edited the title of this thread to avert any trouble!
