Yes. Factory remans TIO540 U2As plus hoses, turbos, sea level controllers, props, etc. Hopefully once all done will have no major issues for several years.
Also doing avionics G600 and 650 and some clean up of interior.
Mechanic supposed to do first test flight today. Engines were started first time yesterday.

I dig the Me-262 look. Username Protected wrote: Lots of good information on the Beechtalk website. I was getting ready to return from the Arlington air show when James Polivka, a self described local amateur photographer, took this great photo of our Aerostar. Jim Christy

Username Protected wrote: Now dad gummit, look at those pics. Can it be operated for under $500/hr excluding PP and upgrades? You lost me with the PP. I would guess about the same to operate as a 58P. You can figure the fuel alone runs $250/hr at todays prices.

Like Glenn and few others I started by looking at Baron, Bonanzas, 58Ps.... As I refined the mission more and waited until I had the cash I ended up test flying the Aerostar. 15 minutes of flying it left me convinced... Nothing comes close which I have had the privledge to fly or demo (Not even a Beech ).. Tim (edit to fix a typo)

Tim (edit to fix a typo) I had a great uncle who flew B-29s in the Pacific and continued to do so after the war with an outfit that did weather reconnaissance. When he moved back to the states, he flew a little of everything doing corporate work for small companies. A few years before he passed, I got to sit with him at a Christmas party and talk flying for a couple of hours. I asked him out of everything that he had ever flown, what was his favorite. He quickly responded that it was the Aerostar. No comparison he said.

That's the same reaction I had when I first seen the drawing several years ago

That seems overkill, were will you put the fuel? Username Protected wrote: Lots of good information on the Beechtalk website. I was getting ready to return from the Arlington air show when James Polivka, a self described local amateur photographer, took this great photo of our Aerostar. Jim Christy
