I was sitting in an 850 last year and was really cramped until the sales guy slid the rudder pedals 8" forward.(surprised me) I am 6'4" and 250 and I remember it as comfortable. It had the pilot door. I am going to sit in one at the Porsche show in Dallas tomorrow. I will try it on again

Negative. The Mercedes is the one in the shop.

Like they built the first plane and then discovered a huge CG issue. They then moved the engine SIX feet forward. I understand the need for this on airplanes that were originally piston powered. But unless this thing was previously powered by a Cat diesel, someone missed the mark. I think you'll find that the reason for the extended nose was to allow for a generous forward baggage compartment. This feature is unusual on singles (Piper PA-32 derivatives being an exception) but common on twins where the space is almost necessitated by aerodynamics. And in addition to providing extra room for stuff (albeit inaccessible in flight) forward baggage bays provide an extremely important ability to balance the load within the allowable CG envelope.
