I don't think it would work with the intercooler and the intake system up there. It's tight forward of the mags but I'll look to see.

I see you have the 680501 transducers. Larger case.

on the installation I have they have the smaller 450000 -P H transducers. They seem a lot cheaper built but maybe just how they are now.

Yours are marked 12V? Is that stepped down at the gauge?

I *believe* the transducers are the same. The ones that I had are just inside of a small metal box. It's been a while since I tore one apart, but I believe they were wrapped in a heat shield inside the box rather than wrapping them with heat shield.

I have no clue on the 12V note. I don't remember if I changed that one or not. That one fed a Shandin instrument. I almost wonder if the unit powered the transducer, then the white returned the pulses for the unit to count. I found this in a FloScan document:

Power: FloScan Instruments & sensors operate on 9 to 12 VDC. Voltages exceeding 16 VDC will damage equipment. 24 & 32VDC systems must be reduced to 12 VDC. Two different types of voltage reducers are available through FloScan.

It's just a generic Floscan 201 or 230 like used in boats, etc. IIRC.

I think the output of the transducer might be open-drain or open-collector. That is, the pull-up to 5V is on the gauge side. I don't know where the 28V bus voltage is stepped down to the 12V for the transducer.
