I don't know the differences in how the cranks are setup but it is something with the "formula for the counterweights and other differences. "

Crank balancers wear out and if not updated then erroneous readings can be had.

Inexperienced shop tech may not understand that the machine support roller bearings may need changed for specific cranks.
If a support bearing is the same diameter as the crank journal, then it can feed into the output reading.
