That right there is funny. Maybe it’s going to have a big baggage door on the right side. Like a 206Lite.

Is there a market for new fixed gear T182’s at the price they would have to sell at?

Given the cost and rarity of late model 182s these days, I think there may be a lot of buyers who decide that buying new is the way to go. 20 year old planes are listed for almost 80% of the new price.

Hopefully they sell so many they can afford to start building ruddervators.

With a new 172 rolling out the door for $480K, maybe we start a poll for the price of a new 182. North of 675K I’d think - BWTHDIK

OK - I will play along - new Turbo 182 - $ 825,000 plus options.

Peace,
Don

That’s funny. I have a friend who just bought a brand new 182 (non turbo). It’s wayyy more than that. And it won’t arrive until Q3-2023.

By looking at the teaser frame by frame:

1. Tan leather interior. Smooth surface with a double-stitch seam down the middle of the backrest and a separate headrest.

2. McCauley propeller with a heating boot on it. Or it could be an alcohol shoe. I'm going with hot-prop.

3. LED wing tip lighting.

4. LED strobe on the vertical stabilizer.

5. Ram's horn yoke (logo obfuscated) no buttons on the yoke tips.

6. Covered in rivets all over the place. (so not composite)

I'm going with Skylane TC. Same as before.

Or a new diesel engine.

Most weird thing possible would be TSIO550-K (or similar) setup to run UL94.

Yawn.

If Larry is right, it doesn’t look like they’re simplifying or adding lightness.

February 10 ... duh, they're restarting the Centurion

A known ice 182 would get some traction I bet.

An old philosopher once said "when one door closes another one opens - other than that this is a pretty good cessna"

So maybe they are finally fixing the door latch design.

I'll take the under. Call it base 650k + Options.

Now that would be innovation at Cessna, building ruddervators for a Beech product.
